Docent Program

The Turn Point Lighthouse Preservation Society (TPLPS) uses docents to open the museum, greet visitors, and conduct tours of the station.

NOTE: There is currently a 1 to 2 year waiting list to be a docent.


If you would like to be considered for docent duties, please send an email to info@tplps.org with your name, address, and contact info.


Docents are provided a car to use during their stay.




A modern travel trailer houses the docents during their stay.




TPLPS requires two docents; one for the museum and one to conduct tours.
